Basic information for all rehearsals & performances:
Be on time and wear comfortable clothing!
Since our rehearsal site is not air-conditioned, please bring cold water to help keep you hydrated.
Bring your instrument and all necessary supplies such as valve oils, cork grease, reeds, etc.
Bring all music that are working on.
If you need or feel more comfortable with a fingering chart, please feel free to bring one.
Rehearsals are for listening and making music while social time is for talking.
Rehearsals for the Fall Session, 2019 will begin Thursday, September 5, 6:00-8:00 p.m. (access after 5:30) at Spring Harbor Middle School, 1110 Spring Harbor Dr., Madison 53705. This is north of University Avenue and just west of Whitney Way. Enter through the main entrance. The band room is to the left of the stairs. Rehearsals will be cancelled whenever school and evening extra curricular activities are cancelled by the Madison School District.
We are currently working on scheduling concerts for November, 2019; March, 2020; & June, 2020. Suggestions for future concert venues are always welcome.
Additional news & information:
We are happy to report that because of the growth of the band and the stability of our finances, the Board of Directors has authorized us to begin purchasing our own music, which is costly. As we begin this process, we also continue to make grateful use of the Ward-Brodt's New Horizons Band library and the privately owned music of our directors.
Summer Rehearsal Session:
Due to the unavailability of our directors, there will be no Summer Session in 2019. The cost of our Fall Session will be available on our Fees page in August.
